Creative Minutae Post #1

Updated: Dec 30, 2019

Something that I took for granted during my art and design education was to be able, as a daily thing, to walk up to classmate and have a brief conversation about their current work. Sometimes a friend with a few minutes of free time would approach me and talk to me about my work too. It was a non-confrontational way to discuss current projects, challenges, and ideas. Nine years later, by myself and working as a freelance designer, the only thing I can do is record my own creative minutae, listen/read/research about other artists' creative processes, and/or reach (way) out to others to talk about their work. I realize now that it was a privilege to be able to share ideas about work with colleagues on a regular basis.
